Making decisions based on how we feel about memories, not accuracy

(University of California - Davis) Memory involves both recall of specific details (who, where, when) and feelings of remembering and reliving past events. New research from the UC Davis Center for Mind and Brain shows that these objective and subjective memories function independently, involve different parts of the brain, and that we make decisions based on subjective memory.
